The Holy Mother Earth has a problem: a Big Problem !

Humanity is is releasing Carbon from the Earth and Fauna at an incredible rate, the Atlantic is holding as much as she can now, and the other oceans are catching up. This is where 95% of the Carbon we release ends up. The other 5% stays in the atmosphere as CO2, and we are heating up. The Higher evelvations and the Higher Latitudes fastest, where we don't notice it as much. But the Glaciers are melting and the Norh Polar Ice Cap may disappear one summer within ten years!

The water loss from the glaciers will be a crisis in itself, as this is the source of much fresh water for a significant percentage of mankind, and the rise in sea level will wreak havoc, especially in low lying areas like Bangladesh and Island Nations like the Maldives and the Marshalls, while cities like New York will have to build dikes at places that will become below sea level.

Howevever, this isn't the worst. As the Oceans and Atmosphere become warmer and warmer, almost all Climates will change and food production will certainly drop. We are looking at Economic Catastrophes and loss of Ecosystems that may cause the entire Planetary Ecosystem to fail, and certainly incredible hardships for Mankind.

But Mankind, living day to day and seemingly not concerned with the economics of the future, looking just the buck they make today, are not taking significant action to keep the Carbon Balance to return to normnal, nor even to slow the rate of release. Yes, we are investing in more ways to get energy from other than fossil fuels, but still the amount of Carbon be released is increasing faster than the efforts to make energy without carbon release. Much of this problem is that those that "own" fossil fuels want their money from this "resource", and have the power, especially in the US to thwart efforts at developing Clean Energy, and do not hesitate to use that power.

The people of the Earth need to regain control of our economies, and resist the temptation to get more and more energy from out of the Earth, possibly even seize and protect those sources to not be used.

The Future of Humanity and all life on this our Holy Mother Earth depend on it.
